Extension: The choice to use fine arts prints for the preliminary lesson was a conscious one. Once students are familiar with the process and the process has been refined, it can be used to jury student works as well. The theme of paintings was an arbitrary one although much Art Criticism dialogue will result and this compliments the art curriculum.
The Artist Statement and Display Cards will be used for future assignments and increase the students' self evaluation/ art criticism experience.
