"This job shadow experience has made me more enthusiastic about my choice of a future career"
"Daniel Pink claims that the nature of the workplace is changing yet again, and that power will soon shift to people who have strong right-brain qualities (that is, aesthetics, feeling, and creativity).

According to Pink, the key to success lies in developing and cultivating six senses: design, story, symphony, empathy, play, and meaning.

In fact, Pink compares the Conceptual Age to past periods of intense change, such as the Renaissance and the Industrial Revolution. Can't get bigger than that."

  CONSTRUCTION CAMP
Last summer 10 middle school youth from Bartlett and Conway participated in a week long school to career summer camp designed to encourage campers to enter trades.

During their week at the MWV construction camp, the students visited many local sites to experience the trades of plumbing, electricity, foundation and landscape work, and residential and commercial construction. They used their knowledge to build 2 large dog houses and to help with a local Habitat for Humanity House.!

Campers visited Cormack Construction Management, and started using the CAD plans to start building their dog house.!
Campers loved seeing the woodmill at HomeGrown Lumber!
Campers learned about wiring with Levi Myshral, from IBEW.!
Campers visited Coleman Construction and then continued to work on their dog houses!
The culminating activity was working on a new Habitat House.
